Hi Mary.
Do you know about Mid-Autumn Festival? It's a special festival in Viêt Nam. It's usually in September or October. During the festival, people eat mooncakes and drink tea with their family and friends.
Last year, my family and I made lanterns and put them outside our homes. The lanterns had different shapes-a star, a flower, and an animal. They had different colors, too.
This year, we will perform a lion dance in our neighborhood. My father and my uncle will wear lion costumes and dance to loud music to bring luck to others. I will play the drums during the show. All of us will have a lot of fun!
Do you have any traditional festivals in the US? Tell me about them.
Love.
Hoa
